Earlier this month, we received a call from a homeowner in Franklin, MA who was having their back deck rebuilt. As the contractor was removing the decking boards, they ran into a pretty severe Carpenter Ant infestation.
The homeowner contacted our office, and we immediately dispatched the closest tech to their location. When the tech got to the site, the contractor was wrapping up for the day and showed us where he encountered the Carpenter Ants. We treated all the structural elements of the deck (and exterior perimeter of the house). It was a hot, sunny September afternoon, so the weather was on our side – the treatment dried quickly, and the carpenters were able to get back to work on the deck the following morning.
